Garden Diary, 31 August 2008

It's been a rather long, dreary winter so nothing much has been happening in the garden. However, the broccoli seems to have been a success, especially compared to a few years ago when it got covered in little grey aphids. The cabbage didn't work, but we got one cauliflower that is now about the size of a softball.

We have plenty of blossom on the apricot and also on the little plum-tree-that-wouldn't-die. Hopefully we won't have the November frost this year that killed off all the apricots ...
